"Pants on the Ground" on American Idol 9 Finale


After Platt’s viral fame, he was invited to perform the entirety of “Pants on the Ground” on ABC’s The View on January 18, 2010. Platt’s song was also sung in WWE’s Royal Rumble 2010 PPV event, in a backstage segment involving Teddy Long, Cryme Tyme, Ranjin Singh, and the Great Khali.


General Larry Platt is one of those who people find funny during the American Idol audition. General Larry is an American civil rights activist who gained fame with his performance of self-composed song “Pants on the Ground” during the ninth season of American Idol.

Does Crystal Bowersox Stand A Chance for American Idol Season 9?


Over the years, “American Idol” has become more and more male-dominated production. Way back to Season 6, Jordin Sparks victoriously won over Blake Lewis, and on Season 3 it was Fantasia Barrino. And now, this is the second year in a row when there only one girl made the top five. This is a very interesting development considering that the two most flourishing “Idol” winners ever are female namely Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. The question is, why aren’t the girls prevailing on this show anymore? When will a girl win the title of an “Idol” again? Does Crystal even stand a chance for this season?
